The aura of Parliament House is a long way from the family home on farmland outside of Maitland, though is where a long-held desire to create change now takes me.

As a proud member of the NSW Nationals, I now represent the people of those regions, and the many outside of capital cities who feel great imbalance versus their metropolitan friends and family.

Now, I call the City of Lake Macquarie home, where I reside with my wife, Bethan, and our four children.

My journey into politics has been far from linear, with stints in an array of industries and sectors, including at the Newcastle Knights, V8 Supercars, MotoGP, and Formula 1. In addition, I spent time at the Port of Newcastle, where I focused on diversifying the port’s operations and the Hunter region’s economy, including oversight over significant projects including a Multipurpose Deepwater Terminal and alternative energy precincts.

Across all this experience, I’ve gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by families across the regions and the importance of fair representation and advocacy.
