Under Labor, the pristine coastline of Port Stephens and Illawarra will be scarred by the sight of near 300-metre-tall turbines just 20-kilometres from one of New South Wales’ busiest tourism economies.

If elected, The Nationals will pull all possible levers to stop offshore wind farms in NSW and save local industry from destruction.

“We can pause and plan and get this right before irreversible damage is done to areas such as Port Stephens. We don’t need to put all our energy eggs in one basket - we can have a sensible discussion on nuclear energy as well,” David Littleproud, Leader of the Nationals, said.
