More than 50 Nationals members elected to local councils.

September proved a fruitful month for many of our National Party members, with more than 50 elected to local Councils.

Whilst the party does not formally endorse local government candidates, it was wonderful to see so many of our passionate members elected as both Councillors, and Mayors. Across the State, 53 National Party members were elected in 40 local government areas. Two have been popularly elected to the position of Mayor.

I pass on my congratulations to those elected, and extend my thanks to those who supported their campaigns and those who were unsuccessful on this occasion.
